Generous donors stepped up to help the Chemeketa Community College Foundation raise funds to get the most of a major fund-matching opportunity for scholarships benefiting students with children.
Local philanthropist Larry Tokarski of Mountain West Investments offered to match $35,000 in new donations for childcare scholarships this calendar year.
“Helping our students pay for childcare is our biggest fundraising priority,” Chemeketa Foundation Executive Director Nancy Duncan said.
