Changes to staff purchases of Microsoft Office

As you may (or may not) recall, Chemeketa employees were able to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office from the college for $25.

However, this has changed. Chemeketa’s Microsoft Campus Agreement no longer allows the college to buy or sell the Microsoft Office CD to staff and faculty. Each user will need to order and pay for it directly from Microsoft.

The bright side? The cost for getting your own copy of Microsoft office as a Chemeketa employee has now dropped to $9.95.

Here are the instructions:

1. Go to http://hup.microsoft.com/

2. Select the country to which they want their order to be shipped to and choose the language for viewing the order website.

3. Enter their corporate e-mail address (your Chemeketa email) and program code (291523D199).

4. Place their order online, and it will be shipped to the location you have chosen. Please note that a fulfillment fee will be charged to cover packaging, shipping, and handling costs.

Also note, when you place your order, Microsoft automatically places a $15.95 backup DVD in your order cart. IT wants to stress this DVD is optional. You can remove it from the cart and pay only the $9.95 for the Office software.

For questions on this new program, contact the IT Helpdesk (x7899). Questions on downloads and payments should be directed to Microsoft.
