Information Technology will be providing regular updates on the installation of the college’s new firewall. This update is for the week of April 27 – May 4, 2017.
This week’s work is a continuation of last week’s work. We are currently working on basic configuration of the new firewall. Configuration of the core switch continues, and we plan on moving it onto the network this Sunday, starting at 9 am. This work may cause a brief disruption to service. After Sunday’s work is complete, the migration process will begin. This work will occur only after classes have finished for the day, starting approximately at 10:30 pm, and only impacting one functional area at a time.
We might have some short interruptions for smaller sections of the network during the week listed above; however, as of now those are not scheduled. We will let you know when to expect those and what the impact will be.
