Cinco de Mayo is coming up soon, and there will be multiple opportunities to celebrate at Chemeketa.
The biggest will be happening in Woodburn, where the college’s center in downtown will be host to the community’s Cinco de Mayo celebration, a three-day event that will run from Friday, May 5 to Sunday, May 7. Music, activities and more will be part of the festivities.
At the Salem campus, a free Cinco de Mayo event will take place from 1 to 5 pm on Thursday, May 4 in the Building 2 Student Center.
A Cinco de Mayo ballroom dance will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m on Friday, May 5 in the dance studio (Building 7, Room 113). Admission is free, with a donation of three cans of food for the Chemeketa Food Pantry suggested.
