M.E.Ch.A Club Chipotle fundraiser June 15

Save your appetite for Saturday, June 15 when Chemeketa’s M.E.Ch.A club will hold a fundraiser at the 890 Lancaster Drive Chipotle from 4-8 pm.

M.E.Ch.A, which stands for Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlán, is a national student organization that unites Chicano students in their quest to enhance their development through education.

Chemeketa’s M.E.Ch.A is one of the college’s most active clubs, putting on community events like Dia Del Los Muertos and Noche Buena.

The club has also collaborated with ASC and Multicultural Student Services to promote other events on campus. This year, many of the club officers were able to attend the National M.E.Ch.A Conference at UCLA.

“These actives have depleted our budget,” said club advisor Juan Saldaña. “We could really use your support to promote our upcoming fundraiser.”

Guests can mention they’re supporting M.E.Ch.A, or a show a printed or digital version of the event flyer – which can be found here – and 33% percent of the proceeds will go to the club.
