It’s hard to believe, but Chemeketa Community College is celebrating 50 years of educating and supporting students. In honor of this milestone, we are holding a very special gala to benefit Chemeketa’s most vulnerable students. Please plan to attend on Saturday, June 6, 2020 and journey back to 1969, a year that included The Beatles’ final public performance, the introduction of Sesame Street, Woodstock, and the first man on the moon – along with the establishment of Chemeketa Community College.
This will be an evening of groovy fun to support students from our community in achieving their higher education goals. 100 percent of the net proceeds raised will go to support students through:
- Childcare scholarships
- First-generation college student assistance
- Specific degree and career technical education scholarships
- Emergency student relief fund
Tickets for the gala are available for purchase.
Date: Saturday, June 6, 2020
Location: Salem Campus, 4000 Lancaster Dr NE, Building 7 Gymnasium
Doors open at 5:30 pm
Event hours 5:30-11 pm
Come wearing your favorite 1969 fashions. Participate in the costume contest that will be held after dinner.
Gala activities will include:
- Silent auction
- Live music & dancing
- Moving speakers
- Recognition of past Chemeketa dignitaries
- And more
If you will not be able to attend, you can still support Chemeketa’s students and the scholarships of your choice by becoming a Flower Power sponsor. Select the Flower Power option on the sponsorship form.
