Academic Year 2021 - 2022 Tuition & Fees

Effective summer term 2021 –

  • Oregon students: $130 per credit ($96 tuition + $34 universal fee)
  • Online students: $130 per credit ($96 tuition + $34 universal fee) 
  • Out-of-state students: $295 per credit ($261 tuition + $34 universal fee)
  • International students: $295 per credit ($261 tuition + $34 universal fee) plus a non-refundable $265 fee per-term for students attending with an F1 visa)

The universal fee shown above is used to support a variety of activities. The breakdown of the universal fee and the uses are as follows:

Athletics $0.95 Provides general support for athletic programs
Capital Maintenance $2.80 Contributes to routine facility maintenance and repairs
Computer Lab Upgrade $0.40 Funds upgrades to computer labs
Emergency Management Planning $0.70 Contributes to enhancing the safety and security of all college properties 
General Fund $21.97 Provides general operational support for the college
Instructional Equipment $2.23 Funds replacement and repair of equipment and software for support services and instructional delivery
Non-Instructional Equipment $0.20 Funds technology, primarily computers, for employees in supporting service areas of the college
Student Initiated Fee $0.70 Funds student leadership programs, clubs and activities, and a legislative internship program
Student Life Support $0.45 Provides support for student government, student activities and student retention efforts
Student Success $2.50 Provides support for initiatives directed by the college's strategic plan related to student success and access
Technology Administration $0.70 Supplemental funding for college-wide technology
Telephone Service $0.40 Supplmental support for college communications equipment and administration
Total $34.00  

The costs cited above are for tuition and universal fees. Some classes have additional fees such as course materials and lab fees. All fees for a class will appear totaled together in the 'Tui + Fee' column of the class schedule. Costs for credit classes are calculated on a per-credit basis. Tuition varies depending on your permanent residence.

Payment Due Date

Before the first day of the term or within ten days of registration (whichever is later) to avoid a $25 late fee. Additional late fees will be applied each term on unpaid accounts throughout the term.

More About Residency

  • You are an Oregon student if you have established Oregon as your permanent residence at least 90 days before the term starts. The college may ask you to have proof of this
  • You are a domestic distance education (online only) student if you reside in the USA or US territories taking only online classes through Chemeketa
  • You are an out-of-state student if your permanent residence is outside of Oregon
  • You are an international student if you must have an I-20 immigration document
  • If you are a Choice Act Veteran contact Chemeketa’s Veterans Services office to ensure you are eligible
