Earn your GED (General Educational Development) and free college credits, through Chemeketa.
Why a GED From Chemeketa?
When you enroll in our GED/High School Options program you will attend classes regularly and have multiple scheduling options. Chemeketa's GED programs include the possibility to earn your high school diploma with individualized pacing in a college environment that will result in better job opportunities when you enter the workforce. You will work closely with faculty and staff to build your skills in preparation for the GED exams and future possibilities.
Upon completion of your GED through Chemeketa, you will also earn free college credits you can use to further your education.
GED preparation in English and Spanish are also offered at our Yamhill Valley Campus. GED preparation in English is also available at our Polk Center.

GED AGES 16-20
To get started, please email your most current transcript to highschool@chemeketa.edu. GED PREP AGES 18+
The adult GED Program offers you –
- Morning and evening classes
- Classes cover all four GED tests (Math, Language Arts, Science & Social Studies)
- Use of our computer lab
- One-on-one tutoring
- 24/7 access to online learning tools
- Free official practice tests
To be admitted to the program please follow the steps below:
- Come into our office at Salem Campus Building 22, Room 100 to begin the process. It will take around 15-20 minutes. Please arrive 30 minutes before the office closes to be able to process your applications.
- There are two applications that have to be filled out. After filling out the two applications, you will need to call us to schedule an orientation.
- The placement test has a cost of $25 . The cost of the program for one term is $150
Financial assistance is available to those who receive SNAP (food stamps) but not TANF (cash) through the STEP program. Please let us know if you believe you qualify.

Para ser admitido en el programa por favor siga los siguientes pasos:
Por favor visitenos en nuestra oficina ubicada en 4000 Lancaster Dr NE Salem, OR 97305, Edificio 22 Salon 100 para comenzar el proceso. Es un proceso de 15-20 minutos y nosotros le ayudaremos a llenar las formas necesarias. Por favor de llegar 30 minutos antes de que la oficina cierre para poder procesar sus aplicaciones.
Hay dos aplicaciones que se tienen que llenar. Después de llenar las dos aplicaciones deberá llamarnos para programar una cita para orientación.
El examen de evaluacion tiene un costo de $25 . El costo del program por un termino es de $150 .
